Problem encountered
In order to improve the productivity of a heat treatment process performed at temperatures exceeding 2700°C, a prototype has to be designed. Best solutions have to be validated within the shortest deadlines.
 
Objectives
  • To predict temperature and validate material choices.
  • To propose solutions.
Solution
  • 2D and 3D modeling of an induction heating prototype
  • Simplified simulation of the load: its temperature is known and is not under specific investigation at this stage of the project
  • Sensitivity studies on simulation parameters and some design parameters.
