Problem encountered
Insufficiently homogeneous temperature in an air-drying furnace due to poor mixing of cold and hot air flows. |
Objective
| Improve homogeneity. |
Solutions
Tests by simulations of different geometries permitting override in the mixing of the two air flows, with no notable change to operating conditions (air flow rates, losses in pressure, temperatures, etc.).
3D calculations are necessary, taking into account the dependence of air density and viscosity with regard to temperature.
